Promajna

Promajna is a village in the municipality of Baška Voda, in the Split - Dalmatia County, located between the settlements of Bratuš in the east and Baška Voda in the west. The settlement lies entirely below the Adriatic Highway. According to the 2011 census report, there were about 372 inhabitants. Promajna was founded in the 17th century, as a settlement of farmers and fishermen. The resort, which is characterized by a long pebble beach, has about a thousand tourist beds in hotel and private accommodation. Promajna also has a post office, several restaurants and cafes, which are mostly open only during the tourist season, when special entertainment events are organized, and on the occasion of All Saints' Day, a fishing evening is organized in Promajna. In 2000, the Church of All Saints was built in the place. In 1952, the film Hoja was shot in Promajna.
